A year ago in Jaipur, actor Hansika Motwani and Sohael Khaturiya got married. The wedding was even featured in Hansika’s Love Shaadi Drama, a Disney+ Hotstar series. To keep the tape exclusive, the actor and her family kept quiet during the pre-wedding and wedding festivities. A year later, the couple took a plane trip for a luxurious anniversary celebration.
Hansika shared a video of herself beaming broadly as she read one of the five handwritten messages, writing, “When Sohael surprises me with 5 handwritten letters.” She enters their opulent hotel room, reads a letter, and hugs Sohael while wearing a white dress. She looked overjoyed to be showered with affection as she entered the room and discovered more love notes waiting for her. “One of the best decisions that I made was to make you mine. Happy 1st wedding anniversary my love!”, the note says.
A lavish event
To celebrate the momentous event with Sohael and a few close friends, Hansika dressed up in a pastel-hued lehenga later in the day. To celebrate their special anniversary, the two of them also indulged in a delicious chocolate cake and popped some champagne.
She also posted a video of their wedding along with the message, “Happy 1st-anniversary babe. This year has been nothing but a blessing. Best decision of my life. Love you.”

Their tale of love
Before getting hitched, Hansika and Sohael were friends. When the latter proposed in Paris, the couple fell in love and got engaged. On December 4 of last year, they were married at Jaipur’s 450-year-old Mundota Fort. A Sufi night and a mehendi-cum-polo match were among the pre-wedding festivities.
