Govinda has been married to wife Sunita for about 37 years now. The couple is known for maintaining a rather candid stance when it comes to talking about their married life. Recently, during an interview, Sunita opened up about their equation as husband and wife and whether it bothered her that he worked with actresses back then.
While talking about her equation with her husband, the star wife said that even today she does not feel like they are married. “Galiya galoch chalti hai humari. (We use abusive language with each other),” said Sunita, while adding that she also tells her actor husband that she can’t believe that he is her husband.
On Time Out With Ankit Podcast, she recalled how Govinda asked her to wear sarees because his mother might not like her in skirts. Sunita added that she had to woo his mother anyway, so she agreed to wearing sarees, which was also in respect of her husband.
Meanwhile, Govinda was in the news earlier this year, when he accidentally shot himself in the leg with his own licensed gun.
