On Tuesday, Govinda accidentally shot himself with his gun while placing his licensed revolver in the almirah. The unfortunate incident happened during hours of dawn and he was rushed to the Criticare Hospital in Mumbai. Two days after surgery, Sunita, the actor’s wife, said he will be discharged tomorrow — Friday.
Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja was seen leaving the hospital in her car today, Thursday. But she spoke to the media outside before taking flight, offering a major update on the actor’s current state of health.
“Sir ek dam badhiya hai, kal discharge hone vale hain sir, tabiyat ek dum first class, ab kal 12 ya 1 baje sir ko yahan se discharge kar ke ghar le ke jayenge,” she said. She further went on to stress thanking everyone for their prayers and blessings on the actor that helped him have a fast recovery.
“Pehla navratra mein aaj saab ka dressing bhi change ho gaye,” she noted further, adding that the actor would come down around 12:00-1:00 p.m. She also promised the paparazzi that the actor would meet them before leaving after getting discharged.
Govinda, though, was questioned by the Juhu Police about Wednesday’s accidental self shooting incident. The reports say the actor told the police that the revolver had been left unlocked while he was cleaning it and misfired.
