Indian players have a short break before the Australia ODIs, which begins on September 22.

Ganesh Chaturthi has arrived, and many sportsmen, like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, have welcomed Ganpati Bappa to their house.

Indian players returned from the Asia Cup 2023, where they defeated Sri Lanka in the final to become the tournament’s eighth title champions. India won the Asia Cup for the second time with Rohit Sharma as captain.

On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, India captain Rohit Sharma posted a picture on Instagram of himself doing aarti of Ganpati Bappa at his residence. He captioned the post: “गणपती बाप्पा मोरया! (‘Ganpati Bappa Mourya’)”

The nation’s most popular couple, starlet Anushka Sharma and Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, also took to social media to wish everyone a happy Ganesh Chaturthi.

Anushka took to Instagram to share a carousel of three photos from their Mumbai house, including a statue of Lord Ganesha that appeared to be formed of organic materials. The couple was suited up for the occasion, with Anushka looking stunning in a traditional nine-yard saree.

Virat, on the other hand, wore a plain off-white kurta with white trousers. In the photos, Anushka’s father, Colonel Ajay Kumar Sharma, can be spotted looking on as the pair prepares for the evening aarti in their home.

The internet went crazy after Anushka shared these photos, with followers pouring their love on the couple. While many screamed “couple goals,” the post was enough to make many people feel happy and cheerful.

While Virat will likely miss the first two matches of the forthcoming three-match India-Australia One-Day International Series, which begins on September 22, Anushka will next be seen in the Netflix film Chak Da Express, which is based on the life of Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami.
