Matt Lauer made a rather rare appearance with his girlfriend of five years, Shamin Abas, as Don Lemon’s wedding in New York City over the weekend.
The couple were among the 140 guests invited at the wedding of Don with his longtime partner Tim Malone, at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church. The ceremony was officiated by Linda Thomas -Greenfield, the ambassador to the United Nations for United States.
The star studded ceremony was attended by some of the biggest stars of the Hollywood industry including Ana Navarr- Cardena, Sunny Hostin, Luann de Lesseps, Joy Behar, Tomar Hall, Clive Davis, Sara Haines, and Hilaria and Alec Baldwin.

The former Today anchor arrived at the venue in navy suit jacket and a white-and-blue patterned shirt and was seen holding hands with his girlfriend outside the venue. The businesswoman opted for a striped dress with a coordinating cardigan and sparkling tan top.
Post his divorce from his ex-wife Annette Roque, ending marriage of over 20 years, Matt has been dating Shamin since 2019.
The former couple originally separated in 2017 after Matt was terminated from NBC for alleged sexual misconduct, as claimed by a former NBC employee, who was later identified as Brooke Nevils. The claims were denied by Matt. Post the initial allegation, multiple women came forward with accusations of their own against the former morning show host.
