Former supermodel and top fashion designer Simar Dugal breathed her last on Wednesday, 12th August, ’20. Dugal is remembers for breaking the norms and going against the tried and tested formulas of fashion and she took the fashion industry by storm after her marriage. Dugal passed away today. Many Bollywood celebrities have taken to their social media to mourn the loss of the designer.
The country is still wreathing in pain after the tragic death of Sushant Singh Rajput and now, the fashion industry is in shock by this sudden news. Bollywood actress Malaika Arora took to her social media to bid a teary adieu to her friend. She wrote, “My eyes well up n I can’t stop the tears …. my beautiful friend,my angel,my strongest,my most compassionate sim @simardugalofficial … love u n miss u so so much …. rest in peace my friend,” she wwrote on her official Instagram.
According to an ETimes report, Simar died after a long struggle with cancer. The fashion designer was also regarded as India’s first supermodel. She is survived by her son Arjan Singh Dugal. Her popular fashion brand titled Arjan is one of most coveted brands of the national capital. Shweta Bachchan, Sphie Choudry, Vikram Phadnis, Manish Malhotra all paid their last respects to the late supermodel.
