Bollywood star Farhan Akhtar drops his transition pictures to lend a peek at his massive body transformation for his latest sports-drama film ‘Toofaan’. The movie is helmed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. In the film, Farhan is essaying the role of a street thug who aspires to be a professional boxer.
Sharing the collage of his transformation photos, Farhan wrote, “The many shapes and sizes of Ajju aka Aziz aka Toofaan. What a ride. 18 months of relentless work but worth every drop of sweat, every sore muscle and every pound gained and lost. The stars behind the scenes – @samir_jaura @drewnealpt @anand.physio”.
Farhan gave credits for his transformation to trainers Samir Jaura, Anand Kumar and Drew Neal. As per the actor, they were “the stars behind the scenes.”
On Farhan’s transformation post, his friend and ‘Zindagi na Milegi Dobara’ co-star Hrithik Roshan commented: “Man! 69 to 85?! That’s insane.” Toofaan marks the second collaboration of Farhan Akhtar and director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
Earlier, Farhan Akhtar shared a ‘Thank You’ post across his social media handles mentioning his trainers for constantly “motivating” him. He wrote, “Ajju’s corner. The team behind the boxer and the boxing. What you see in Toofaan is the collective result of this core group… Couldn’t have done it without you guys. From motivating to pushing to punishing to pampering, thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
