Actor Vijay Deverakonda’s team has filed an official police complaint with the Cyberabad Police, alleging that Arjun Reddy’s reputation is being unfairly targeted. Not only that, but the complaint said that his most recent release, Family Star, was targeted by people with malevolent intent.
A member of Vijay’s team posted an update on his X account, showing the actor’s agents handing over the complaint copy to cops. He further described the trolling against Vijay as “orchestrated attacks and planned negative campaigns.”
“Cyber Crime Complaint lodged against individuals who are part of orchestrated attacks and planned negative campaigns targeting The #FamilyStar movie and actor #VijayDeverakonda. The police officials started taking action already and are tracing the fake ids and users and assured due course,” he wrote.

Vijay has yet to give a statement regarding the police report.
Meanwhile, at one of Family Star’s promotional events, Vijay was challenged by trolls who questioned the extravagant set-up of the song Kalyani Vaccha Vacchaa in a film about a middle-class marriage. The actor reacted vehemently, claiming that no one involved in the film’s production was “stupid.”
“I don’t understand, are people genuinely confused or are they just looking to troll us?” he asked, adding that great dream sequences have always been a feature of Indian films, but they have never been challenged. He also asked viewers to watch the film until the end before jumping to conclusions.
Family Star opened in theatres on April 5, and after its first weekend, the film grossed Rs 11 crore. It was directed by Parasuram Petla and received mixed reviews from both the crowd and reviewers, but its numbers did not increase.
