On Wednesday, actor Emraan Hashmi denied rumours that he would star in Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Don 3’.
Taking to Instagram, Emraan wrote, “For the fans and journalists that are asking. I was never a part of Don 3. Was never offered the movie.”
There was conjecture that Emraan would portray a villain in the upcoming film Don. However, Emraan’s statement makes it clear that someone else has been cast as the film’s adversary.
Meanwhile, Kiara Advani recently joined Ranveer Singh in ‘Don 3’.
In an August 2023 special announcement video, Farhan stated that Ranveer Singh will play the new Don in the blockbuster franchise’s third film.
Ranveer was shown in the teaser sitting in a building with his back to the camera. He lit a cigarette, introduced himself as Don, and turned to face the camera.
He dressed dapperly in a leather jacket and matching trousers, complete with leather boots and matching sunglasses.
Previously, the characters were performed by Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.
The ‘Don’ series has always been synonymous with gripping narratives, thrilling action, and unforgettable scenes. Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Boman Irani played major roles in the film Don. The film premiered in 2006 and won Best Asian Film at the Neuchatel International Fantastic Film Festival. The sequel, which was released in 2011, was a huge success. Hrithik Roshan had a guest appearance in the film ‘Don 2’.
Farhan’s directorial was a remake of 1978’s ‘Don’, featuring Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role.
