Ellen DeGeneres is one of the most famous talk- show hosts. Every celebrity wants to make an appearance on her show. Due to the ongoing pandemic, she has been hosting her show from her house in Montecito, California. The viewers have been enjoying the show even though it’s not as exciting as the show. The latest reports suggest that Warner Brothers have called an internal investigation.
However, 10 former employees and one current employee from The Ellen DeGeneres Show have called her out for toxic work environment. The employees spoke to BuzzFeed without revealing their names. The accusations have levelled accusations at executive producers and senior managers of the show. Variety and The Hollywood Reporter have reported memos from the employees who pointed out at Ellen. The memo suggests the company will be interviewing all the employees and will interrogate them regarding the allegations. The interviews will be conducted by the employee relation team itself and not a ‘third party film.’
No direct allegations have been put on Ellen DeGeneres herself by the former employees, however, one staff member came in the front line and said that Ellen should take responsibility for her talk show environment. An ex-employee said, “I think the executive producers surround her and tell her, ‘Things are going great, everybody’s happy,’ and she just believes that, but it’s her responsibility to go beyond that.”
