Actor Dusshyant Wag made his acting debut with the movie, ‘Tera Mera Saath Rahen’ in 2001. The actor was also seen in movies like Dombivali Fast, 3 Idiots, and Panipat. He was also seen in several TV serials like ‘Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha’ on Colors TV.
In conversation with ETimes, the actor said, “I will always be thankful to my teacher, Vidya Patwardhan for introducing me to actor-filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar when he was looking for a fresh young face for his film Tera Mera Saath Rahen. I played Ajay Devgn and Sonali Bendre’s son in the film.”
Talking about several roles he played till now, he said, “Films and TV shows have a vast reach. But people remember your film roles more than television roles. I have acted in many TV shows, but audiences remembered me only till the show was on air. On the other hand, my role as Centimeter in 3 Idiots is remembered even today.”
When asked about his experience as a child actor, Dusshyant said, “I think any child, who starts working at a young age, is bound to lose his innocence and grow up faster. It has more to do with early exposure to the harsh realities of life.”
The actor recently added an extra ‘s’ to his name. When asked about his belief in numerology, he said, “It is like believing in horoscopes; the belief does not guarantee any positive/favorable results. At the same time, there is no harm in believing in it. Moreover, I believe that all sciences are built on logic and I am open to trying new things.”
In an interview with The Tribune, the actor shared his dream role. “My dream role would be to play a common man like Naseeruddin Shah did in A Wednesday and also to portray something like Marcus Wright in the movie Terminator Salvation,” he said.
He dropped some hints about his upcoming projects in conversation with ETimes, and said, “OTT is an exciting medium now because of the pandemic. It has given opportunities to many talented actors. I have done a few historical shows and films, and would love to explore the genre.” Dusshyant was last seen in the Television serial, Ishq Mein Marjawan on Colors TV.
