Bollywood veteran actor Dilip Kumar was admitted to ICU for few days. A family friend, Faizal Farooqui informed that his health is stable now and will be discharged in few days.
Dilip Kumar has been admitted to Khar, Hinduja hospital’s non-Covid facility on Tuesday. He was facing the problem of breathlessness with other age-old medical issues.
According to the Times of India, Farooqui said, “He is stable. He continues to be in the hospital on doctor’s advice so that doctor can provide necessary medical attention given his age. The family believes he will be discharged in a day or two.”
He also added that the family has expressed their gratitude towards all the fans and well-wishers. The actor was also admitted to the hospital, last month, due to breathlessness and was discharged after few days.
The 98-year-old actor has been one of the most well-known faces of the Bollywood film industry since the 50s. He was a part of several epic films like Mughal-E-Azam (1960), Saudagar(1991), Tarana (1951), Devdas(1955), Madhumati(1958), etc.
The actor made his acting debut with the 1944 film, Jwar Bhata, produced by the Bombay Talkies. He had a career span of over five decades and was last seen in the movie ‘Qila’ in 1998. The actor had recently shared a few of his movie scenes on Twitter from the 60s and fans loved to watch them.
A few days ago, actor Naseeruddin Shah was also admitted to the hospital and is undergoing treatment for pneumonia.
