Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput‘s death case leads the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to start investigating the drug angle in the Bollywood industry. After the arrest of Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty, NCB has interrogated Bollywood actors like Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and others in connection with drug case. NCB continues to investigate in the B-Town drug case.
NCB arrested Deepika Padukone’s manager Karishma Prakash for the involvement in the drug angle. Last week during the raid at her Versova home, NCB found Marijuana and CBD oil in her house. The agency booked her last week, after they found 1.7gm of Marijuana and two bottles of CBD oil. According to the agency, Karishma was not at her home and was not traceable. While she was not present during the search, NCB posted a notice on the door asking her to surrender before the officials.
According to a report in India Today, Karishma Prakash is likely to appear before the NCB tomorrow. The agency had asked her to surrender before the officials, however, when the manager did not respond to the summon sent earlier, they handed over the summon to Karishma Prakash’s mother. The source has been quoted saying, “Deepika Padukone’s talent manager Karishma Prakash will appear before NCB officials tomorrow [Wednesday]”
As per the latest repots in Times News Network, on Saturday (31st October), Karishma moved to the special NDPS court seeking anticipatory bail. The report stated that the hearing will come up in the next week.
Last month, actresses Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and her manager Karishma were questioned by the NCB officials for the involvement in the alleged drug angle.
