As soon as Deepika Padukone flew off to Goa to start shooting for her upcoming movie with Shakun Batra after months of nationwide lockdown due to the spread of COVID-19, she was summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) when her name came up to be a part of the drug nexus of Bollywood. The drug nexus was revealed from the shadows by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) during the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput‘s death case. Her name was revealed when the WhatsApp chats between her and her KWAN talent manager, Karishma Prakash, surfaced in which they were discussing the narcotics substances.
According to the recent reports by Times of India, the ‘Padmaavat’ actress is set to fly back to Goa to resume her shoot. While Deepika was in Mumbai for the interrogation, the filmmakers made sure they don’t lack behind on schedule and shot that sequence of the film which have Ananya Pandey and Siddhant Chaturvedi on the screen.
Along with Deepika Padukone, other actresses who were summoned by NCB are Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, former Dharma Productions associate, Kshitij Ravi Prasad and KWAN talent managers, Karishma Prasad and Jaya Saha.
