Deepika Padukone and her sister Anisha Padukone paid a quick visit to the Tirumala temple in Andhra Pradesh this evening before the film’s premiere.
Along with her sister Anisha Padukone, Deepika Padukone visited the Tirumala temple on Thursday to pray to Lord Venkateswara. The sisters made a quick but serious visit to the historic temple, accompanied by heavy security. They decided to walk barefoot as a sign of respect before their revered deity before entering the temple grounds. Both sisters wore pullovers with leggings, keeping their outfits basic and cosy. Anisha’s outfit of choice was an orange and black combo, but Deepika went all black.
Located in Andhra Pradesh’s Chittoor district, Tirupati is well-known for hosting the ancient Lord Venkateshwara Temple, which is a popular pilgrimage site around the world. Referred to variously as Tirumala Temple, Tirupati Temple, and Tirupati Balaji Temple, it is regarded as one of the wealthiest places of worship in the world.
The main temple is thought to be the location where Lord Venkateshwara took on the form of an idol and is perched atop Tirumala, one of the seven hills that crown Tirupati. The deity Govinda is worshipped at this hallowed place. Tirupati originates from ancient times and is mentioned in several renowned Vedas and Puranas, which confirms its status as a city rich in spiritual history.
