Deepika Padukone is the new mom of B-town and the actress updated her Instagram bio after giving birth to her newborn daughter. The actress, who had the bio “Follow your bliss,” changed it to the more mundane yet more accurately relatable “Feed. Burp. Sleep. Repeat.” This came shortly after Deepika, married to actor Ranveer Singh, welcomed her first child, a baby girl.
The couple confirmed that they have finally become parents with a sweet post on the Instagram stating, “Welcome baby girl. 8.09.2024. Deepika and Ranveer.” Fans and celebrities welcomed with warm congratulatory messages in the comments.
Priyanka Chopra, their co-star from the Bajirao Mastani, commented along with a string of heart emojis saying, “Congratulations.” Alia Bhatt added a flurry of red heart emoticons, while Kareena Kapoor Khan wished warm congratulations from herself and Saif Ali Khan, “Congratulations mommy and daddy from Saifu and Beboo. God bless the little angel.”
Other Industry friends, including Masaba Gupta and Arjun Kapoor, extended their wishes too, with Arjun lighten up with one quip, “Laxmi aayi hai. The queen is here.”
