Courtney Love has no love for famous stars such as Taylor Swift and Beyonce.
In a recent interview with British outlet The Standard, Courtney fired shots at series of the world’s most famous female musical artists.
“Now, every successful woman is cloned, so there is just too much music. They’re all the same. If you play something on Spotify, you get bombarded with a lot of stuff that’s exactly the same,” stated Courtney in the interview over the weekend.
She noted that Taylor “might be a safe space for girls” and is probably Madonna of today’s time but is not interesting as an artist. She also termed her to be “not important.”
Courtney also took a swing at Lana Del Rey, who headlined Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival the day after the interview was published. “I haven’t liked Lana since she covered a John Denver song, and I think she should really take seven years off.”
She added that she had considered Lana to be “great” up until ‘Take Me Home Country Roads’. She also continued that she had to stop listening to Lana while recording her new album, as she was too much of an influence on her.
