
The television actor Dinesh Phadnis, who was well-known for the portrayal of Fredericks in CID has passed away at the age of 57. The news was confirmed by Dinesh’s co-star Dayanand Shetty. They later stated that Dinesh took his last breath at 12:08 am. The actor was admitted to Mumbai’s Tunga Hospital. As per reports, he died of multiple organ failure.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Dinesh had suffered from a heart attack. However, Dayanand denied the rumours and stated that Phadnis was suffering from liver damage.
Dayanand even added, “Dinesh was getting treated for some other ailment but the medication affected his liver adversely. That’s why it is always recommended to take medicines very carefully. You never know when the medicine that one is taking to treat something can cause another major ailment. One should be very careful regarding allopathic medicines,” as reported by HT.
The beloved actor was highly appreciated for his performance in CID. It was also known that he wrote many episodes of CID. He even appeared in films such as Super 30 and Sarfarosh. He also made an appearance on the comedy show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma as CID officer Fredericks.
