Chiranjeevi, who was last seen in Bholaa Shankar, recently returned from the United States and underwent successful knee surgery in Delhi.
According to News18, the surgery was carried out at a private facility in Delhi. It entailed treating a kneecap infection. The actor has now taken a 45-day vacation in order to recover quickly.
Chiranjeevi had been concerned about his knee problems for a long time before deciding to have the surgery.
The procedure was supposed to take place in Bengaluru, but the actor chose a hospital in the national capital.
The 67-year-old actor recently visited the United States with his family.
Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi’s latest film, Bholaa Shankar, will be released in theatres on August 11, 2023. The film also stars Keerthy Suresh, who plays the megastar’s sister, and Tamannaah Bhatia, who plays his lover.
The film, directed by Meher Ramesh, generated a lot of attention before it was released in theatres. However, it fell short of the audience’s expectations. Bhola Shankar earned Rs 16 crore on its first day of release, bringing the film’s total earnings to over Rs 27 crore.
Bholaa Shankar is an approved remake of the Tamil film Vedalam, in which actor Ajith Kumar played the lead role.
