India is getting ready for the April 19, 2024, Lok Sabha elections. Elections for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha are set for May 13, with the vote count slated for June 4.

A party needs to secure at least 88 seats in the 175-seat Andhra Pradesh Assembly in order to establish a government. Prior to the elections, Telugu actor Chiranjeevi gave the Jana Sena party—led by his brother Pawan Kalyan—a kind donation of Rs 5 crore.

The leader of the Jana Sena party, which is fielding candidates for the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and Lok Sabha alongside the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is Pawan Kalyan, the brother of Chiranjeevi.

The Bro actor paid a visit to the Telugu superstar on a film set, where his other brother, Naga Babu, was present alongside Pawan Kalyan. The leader of Jana Sena also asked actor Waltair Veerayya for his blessings.

A news statement from the Jana Sena Party headquarters stated that Pawan Kalyan’s party received a cheque for Rs 5 crore from Chiranjeevi to hold elections. This happened in Pochampally, which is 80 km away from Hyderabad, according to sources.

For his next movie, Vishmbhara, Chiranjeevi is getting ready, while Pawan Kalyan has arrived in Pochampally, where the shoot is now happening. It is said that the two brothers talked about politics and other things throughout their call.

The Telugu Desam Party, led by Chandrababu Naidu, won 102 seats in the 2014 Assembly elections and took control of the government. In the meantime, the Yuvajana Shramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP), led by Jagan Mohan Reddy, has taken 67 seats.

Only four seats were won by the BJP over two regional parties. The YSRCP then won 151 seats in the 2019 Assembly elections, while the TDP only managed to secure 23. The Lok Sabha elections for 543 seats in the country will be held in parts, beginning on April 19.
