Actor Chandrachur Singh accused Salman Khan of lying about him not having work in the late 90s. In a viral video, Salman Khan claimed that Saif Ali Khan and Chandrachur Singh declined ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ despite having no work.
In an old video from Karan Johar’s talk show Koffee With Karan, Salman Khan was the guest. In the video, Johar revealed that he had approached several stars for Aman’s role in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ before approaching Salman Khan. Talking about the struggle to find a second lead, Karan said, “I remember the first time I ever came to your zone to narrate my first film to you. Saif and Chandrachur had said no to the role. And you said that no one’s going to do your role, you come and meet me tomorrow.”
Salman explained, “It was not difficult for you to get a Shah Rukh Khan in the film but it was very difficult for you to get this casting (Aman) because Saif at that point of time was doing nothing. Chandrachur was doing nothing. Even they refused it. I did it, Karan. I saw talent, I saw genius in you. And after that you never worked with me.”

Chandrachur Singh, who came across the viral video on Instagram, reacted by calling Salman Khan a liar. “Salman is lying,” read the comment. When a fan asked him what was the lie in the video, he explained, “I had ‘Josh,’ ‘Daag The Fire,’ ‘Kya Kehna,’ ‘Silsila Hai Pyaar Ka,’ etc. This. I made a choice.” However, Chandrachur later deleted the comment. The screenshot of his comment made its way to Reddit after a user shared it.
