Saira Banu’s name popped in the headlines when she was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at the Hinduja Hospital three days ago on 1st September 2021. It was the same hospital where his husband, Dilip Kumar breathed his last moments. Few days after she was hospitalised, a report broke in the news portals and social media that she was combatting depression and coronary syndrome. The reason stated for depression was the emotional pain due to her husband, Dilip Kumar’s death.
The report also had statements from senior doctors of the Hinduja Hospital stating that “she didn’t sleep much and wanted to go home”. It also claimed that doctors wanted to conduct an angiography for which the actress had refused. Hence, the doctors were awaiting her confirmation to proceed with the treatment procedure.
But today Dr Nitin Gokhale spoke to ETimes where he described all the news of her refusing for angiography and battling depression as rumours and fake news. He said, “Sairaji is not battling depression, plus she is not being difficult at all which in other words means she is not avoiding angiography. The angiography as I told you last time will be done at a later date after we control her diabetes. So where’s the question of she saying ‘no’ to it?”
Talking about her present health situation he said, “She’s gone to a room. She is much better, in fact, fine,”. We all hope for her a speedy recovery.
