The filmmaker, on the occasion of Holi, took to his Instagram handle and shared a throwback photo of Sridevi. The post featured Sridevi playing ‘sindoor khela’ during a Durga Puja celebration. She had vermillion applied on her face, and ‘Boney’ written on her back with same color.
The post was captioned, “Holi was happiest.”
No sooner did Boney share the picture, several of Sridevi’s fans reacted to the post and paid emotional tributes to her. One of the comments read, “No one… No one can be like ❤️Sridevi!”
Boney married Sridevi in June 1996. However, the latter passed away in February 2018.
Sridevi and Boney share two daughters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor. Recently, during an interview Maheep Kapoor, Sridevi’s sister-in-law and wife of Sanjay Kapoor, talked about how Sridevi was better than her at handling girls. Maheep also revealed that it was the late actress who had got her daughter, Shanaya Kapoor’s ears pierced. Moreover, her first phone was also bought by Sridevi.
Meanwhile, Boney recently confirmed that Mom 2, a sequel to Sridevi starrer is on cards, and the reports suggested that Khushi will be leading the project.
