Bobby Deol reveals how he did an emotional scene in Animal by imagining losing his real brother

Bobby Deol has earlier shared about his emotional connection with his family. The actor revealed how he couldn’t sit through the movie Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani as it contained a death scene of his father. Though, it was an act Bobby couldn’t hold onto his emotions and chose to not watch the movie.

In a recent interview with iDream Media, Bobby revealed how he devised a technique to evoke particular emotions in his recent film Animal. The scene was about a brother losing his brother. Bobby envisioned the same scenario in real life and let out the same amount of emotions. Post the shot, he was also praised by director Sandeep Reddy Vanga for an award-winning shot.

The actor said, “When I was doing the scene in the film, it was about a brother who has lost his brother. As actors, we use incidents in our lives to bring that emotion. We have a bank full of them. My brother means the world to me. When I was performing that scene, it was as if I’ve actually lost my brother. And that’s why, when I was emoting, it felt real,” as reported by Pinkvilla.

Animal is garnering immense attention from the audience globally. The film has broken historical records and has earned a massive revenue at the box office. Animal features Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri in pivotal roles. The movie showcases the tragedies of a complex father-son relationship.
