Bigg Boss season 14 is right around the corner, and the fans are going crazy about it. This season holds more surprises than usual as the season is going to be broadcasted amidst an ongoing pandemic. The season is to start on 3rd October. The winner of Bigg Boss season 13, Sidharth Shukla, introduced the first participant of the show on 24th September. Jaan Kumar Sanu, son of singer Kumar Sanu, is the first officially declared participant to step in the BB house this year.
As soon as the promo of the new season has been out, there has been a question which asks for the reason behind starting a show amidst an ongoing pandemic. In a talk with Endemol CEO Abhishek Rege, actor and host of the show, Salman Khan, answered the question by saying that he wanted to start earning again and to get back their jobs as the Coronavirus has caused months of Lockdown, increasing the hunger and poverty in the nation. Salman was quoted saying in the press conference, “The biggest reason that I am doing Bigg Boss is because I wanted people to start earning again. A lot many people died of COVID and also hunger. Bigg Boss has a big unit and gives employment to a lot of people.”
Salman Khan also added that he is willing to opt for a fee cut if the other employees will be getting their fixed salaries. He was quoted saying, “I would be more than happy to have a fee cut if others are getting fully paid.”
