There were rumours making rounds that Aamir Khan‘s son Junaid Khan was gearing up for his debut in the film industry. Earlier, it was reported that he will be marking his debut with the Hindi remake of Ishq which is a Malayalam movie. It is to be produced by Neeraj Pandey. Junaid Khan has worked in some films as an assistant director. He has worked with Aamir Khan as well in PK as an assistant director.
Now, the new reports suggest that Junaid Khan will not begin his journey in Bollywood with the remake of Ishq. As reported by the Times of India, Bandish Bandits actor, Ritwik Bhowmik might feature in the Hindi remake of Ishq. It also mentioned that Ritwik will replace Junaid Khan in this film but it is not confirmed yet. Neeraj Pandey is rumoured to be impressed by Bhowik’s performance in Bandish Bandits. Bandish Bandits was released on Amazon Prime in the first week of August.
Speaking of the upcoming film, it will be directed by Shashant Shah. He has worked in movies like Bajatey Raho and Chalo Dilli. The film will have a few changes and variations and it won’t be an exact copy of the Malayalam version of the film. There are no official confirmations on this. Ritwik was appreciated and praised for his digital debut in Bandish Bandits. He is about to team up with Karishma Tanna for a music video.
