Robert Downey Jr. known for his iconic role as Iron Man ended his contract with Marvel after Avengers: Endgame. The disheartened fans who have watched him play the superhero role for a decade wanted to see more of him. Although RDJ ended his contract with Marvel, this opens the possibility of him working with the directors of Marvel movies.

In a recent interview with Comicbook.com, Avengers : Endgame director Joe Russo talked about the possibility of working with Robert Downey Jr in an non-MCU project. Russo Brothers added that it is “not long” until the actor and directors duo could reunite. Although they did not reveal much details, Joe talked about the collaboration for the first time in April. While talking to the international publication, they added, “there’s two more projects we’re talking to Hemsworth about. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Joe talked about the award gossip surrounding his new movie. He said, “Count me on the list of folks who are ready to start the awards campaign today. I think everyone will be blown away when they get a chance to see the depth and versatility he brings to Cherry. He is a generationally talented actor.”

Let’s hope that the superhero cast works with the director duo to give us another hit.
