Playback singer and actor Armaan Malik is most recognised for being the first Indian singer-songwriter to be featured on the Times Square Billboard in New York City and first Indian artist to perform on GRAMMYs Global Spin series. He is incredibly popular with women, incredibly talented, and has a devil-may-care attitude that his admirers just like.

Singer Armaan Malik’s recent tweet denouncing the trend of lip-syncing triggered reactions on social media. He wrote: “Sad to see that lip- syncing at a live concert has become a normal thing. Like c’mon, why is there zero effort? The worst part is some people don’t even lip sync and the let the track play as is while they “vibe”. Like is this a joke? Do you not care about your fans?”

Recently in an exclusive interview with OTTplay he was asked how he called artists out for lip syncing at live concerts. So does he thinks that art is being replaced by technology and artists, retorting to what seems like an ‘easy route’? To which the singer gracefully replied, “In today’s era when an artist performs at live concerts, it’s not just about singing, it’s also about the whole performance and presentation. There are many occasions where while I’m dancing and singing simultaneously I lose my breath and, in those sections’, backing vocals do kick in to support me. But apart from that the entirety of my show is purely live and that’s the way I like it to be. I think the said technological advancements genuinely help enhance and elevate the overall performance, but complete reliance on it is just being extremely lazy and disrespectful to the fans who’ve paid a lot to see their favourite artist perform live.”
