Arjun Kapoor is enjoying all the appreciation for his role in Singham Again right now. Rohit Shetty cop action thriller featured Arjun as the main villain also starred Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff. Fans finally saw Arjun and Ranveer on screen together after almost 10 years. The pair had featured in the 2014 action film ‘Gunday’ with Priyanka Chopra.
Despite mixed reviews and something decent at the box office the movie Gunday did not get the attention it desired. Recently, in an interview, Arjun revealed that Priyanka was out of the league for that movie.
During a conversation with Pinkvilla, Arjun said how Priyanka was out of their league. “Priyanka Chopra was a big star… she still is, but what I mean is she was out of our league, just like she is in the film in that sense, and then she did the film,” said the Singham Again star. Abour Irrfan, Arjun shared how delighted he was to work in the film with the late actor. “Ali mounted it; Adi sir (Aditya Chopra) believed that was the way to really connect with the masses,” recalled the Ishaqzaade actor.
Gunday could have been a bigger hit, if it had released today, believes the actor. “Gunday is exactly what today is being celebrated; it’s high octane, it’s larger than life,” said Arjun.
