Recently, music composer AR Rahman announced separating from his wife Saira Banu after almost 30 years. Due to this, he had to send legal notices to several YouTubers and other social media influencers allegedly spreading fake tales of the separation. Through his lawyers, Rahman has made a fresh statement on social media on Saturday. The eight-point letter, which was released on Facebook and X, accused ‘busy bodies’ on YouTube for creating ‘imaginary stories’ which are apparently ‘hurting’ Rahman and his family.
While sharing the post on X, the Oscar winning artist wrote, “Notice to all slanderers from ARR’s Legal Team.”

For those who are unaware, the speculations erupted online after Rahman’s bassist Mohini Dey announced her divorce on her Instagram handle, just a few hours post Rahman and Saira announcing their split. Netizens stormed the internet with speculations suggesting a link between the two incidents. Nevertheless, both the music composer and the bassist had released yet another statement, individually, wherein they clarified that there is no link.
