The famous couple was seen sitting inside the temple with other pilgrims in a social media video that went viral. On Saturday morning, one day after the conclusion of the third Test match between India and Australia in Indore, they reported attendance at the temple.

In a viral video, Virat Kohli can be heard saying “Jai Mahakal” he further goes on to say “Thank you, Thank you” and Anushka Sharma said, “We came here to offer prayers and had a good ‘darshan’ at Mahakaleshwar temple, thank you, thank you so much ”

The fact that Virat and Anushka are devout believers is no secret. Together with their daughter Vamika, the couple also travelled to Rishikesh and Vrindavan earlier this year. The family visited Swami Dayanand Ji Maharaj’s samadhi at Swami Dayanand Ashram in Rishikesh after visiting Baba Neem Karoli’s ashram in Vrindavan.

Returning to the ongoing Test series in Indore, at the Holkar stadium on Friday, Australia defeated India by a score of 9 wickets. Cheteshwar Pujara’s half-century in the second innings saved the hosts from losing the match by an innings after India collapsed to 109 in the first.

The Aussies have earned a spot in the World Test Championship final, which will take place in June at The Oval in London, thanks to this victory. India must now win the final Tests to secure their spot against Australia in the championship game. Interestingly, beginning March 9, the fourth and final Test will be held in Ahmedabad.
