In addition to its series of advertisements, Disney+ Hotstar on Wednesday has shared a new ad featuring actor Shah Rukh Khan. The streamer has yet not disclosed if it has any new endeavor with the actor in the pipeline or not but the ads have been developing some expectations among his fans.
In the latest ad, Shah Rukh could be seen as highly annoyed at not being offered any attention by the streamer. As he waves to the throng of fans under his balcony, he inquires his PA–played by actor Rajesh Jais–if there has been any message from Disney+ Hotstar. He answers Shah Rukh that he could not link with them as they might be involved considering all the fresh projects they are launching soon.
When his phone abruptly pings with a message from Disney+ Hotstar, Shah Rukh asks if they are proposing a movie or a show. It was, however, barely a promotional text to subscribe to the service. A ruffled Shah Rukh whacks the phone from Rajesh’s hands.
In the first ad, Shah Rukh had conveyed concern about not being a fan-favorite anymore as all celebrities are moving to the streamer. Rajesh informs him, “Baki sab stars ke Disney+ Hotstar pe shows aur movies aa rahe hai na (All the other stars have their shows and movies on Disney+ Hotstar).” Shah Rukh inquires him, “Accha? Kaun baaki sab (Really? Who all)?” Rajesh names Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar, and others. It would be exciting to see what happens next.
