Since the untimely demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, a lot of claims are being made. At one point of time the big production banners were also dragged into the case and were suspected of having hands in Sushant’s death. But now, Ankita Lokhande, who was Sushant’s former girlfriend has finally broken her silence and has revealed that filmmaker Aditya Chopra, Ekta Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali were all supportive of him.
In an interview with Times Now, Ankita spoke on her views on the existence of nepotism is bollywood. She shared that filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali had offered her and Sushant a film. They could not do it because of their reasons. She also shared that SLB gave many opportunities to Sushant, but the late actor refused it. She also defended Ekta Kapoor and said that when Sushant decided to leave Pavitra Rishta and do Abhishek Kapoor’s film, she did not stop him even for once. She mentioned that Aditya Chopra supported Sushant in every given way.
And, when asked about Sushant and Karan Johar’s connection, she was quoted saying, “Karan Johar ke time mein nahi thi Sushant ke saath. So mein uspe comment nahi kar sakti. But yes maam, Adi sir ke saath jab Sushant Yash Raj mein the, tab mein thi. Adi Sir ne bhi unko bohot support kiya hai. Sushant ko jab bhi koi bhi problem hoti thi, he used to call Adi Sir and say ‘Sir I want to meet you.’ He used to call Sushant ussi din, aisa bhi nahi chaar-paanch din late bulate the. He used to directly call and Sushant used to go and meet. Jo problems hoti thi, he used to talk directly to Adi Sir. Mein bhi sun rahi hoon bohot cheeze upar niche ho rahi. Aur mein issliye clear karna chahti hoon kyun ki yeh mere samne hue hain. Agar mujhe pata hi nahi hai Karan Johar ke saath kya deal hui, I have no idea about it but yes Aditya Chopra, Ekta Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, yeh teen jab cheeze horahi thi tab mein Sushant ke saath thi, I have seen that. They were all very supportive.”
