Anita Hassanandani first made a name for herself on TV when she starred in TV serials such as Kkavyanjali, Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii, Kohi Apna Sa, among others in the early 2000s. She was a huge TV sensation after she went on to star in many of Ekta Kapoor’s shows of that era. Now, she is planning her comeback in her 40s.

In a recent interview, she said it is tough to find roles which are age-appropriate in both film and television for women her age. Anita also reflected on the career compromises she made because of romantic partners.

She was once dating actor Eijaz Khan, and according to her, the only regret that time brought along is that she lost the prime time of her career. In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Anita opened up about her past relationship and said, “I learnt a lot, I became a better person, we were just two very good people not good for each other.” The only thing she regretted is of letting go of her prime career, as she was offered a Tamil film Varsham but she didn’t do it.

Anita added that she “wasn’t sure if Eijaz was okay with it.” She added, “He didn’t stop me, but because I wanted to overdo in the relationship, I made a few bad career moves.” Anita also spoke about other previous relationships as well, and said that while none of her partners forced her to make certain choices in her career, they made it known if they were not okay with something.

The actress got married to Rohit Reddy in the year 2013. They are parents to son named Aaravv.
