The 23rd of December marks Anil Kapoor’s father Surinder Kapoor’s 98th birth anniversary. Taking to his social media account, the actor extended heartfelt wishes for his father. Surinder Kapoor, who’s a renowned face in the Hindi cinema is known for producing various films such as No Entry, Shehzada, Ponga Pandit, Pukar, Humara Dil Aapke Pass Hai and many others.
On account of this auspicious day, the Animal star took to his Instagram account and shared throwback pictures of his father. He penned down a heartfelt note writing, “Celebrating my dad’s birthday today—simple, honest, and a joyous man. He stood tall, exuding handsomeness, and his resonant voice could be heard from miles away. I miss him dearly, yet his voice echoes within me, bringing warmth to every day of my life.”
After the pictures were posted online, his brother Sanjay Kapoor reacted to the post with a heart emoticon. While fans commented on the post with sweet messages. A user wrote, “Lovely tribute to your beloved father,” while another stated, “Like father like son, @anilskapoor Handsomeness overloaded.”
Meanwhile, Sanjay Kapoor posted a Story on his Instagram account, by sharing his father’s picture. He captioned it as, “Happy birthday dad ❤.”
Boney Kapoor also posted a similar picture as Anil Kapoor did and captioned the post, “Happy birthday Papa, 1 short of a Century.”
On the work front, Anil Kapoor made his appearance in Animal, which is garnering immense attention worldwide. The film has broken several records and is receiving polarizing reviews. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, it features Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri in key roles.
Anil Kapoor will next be appearing in Siddharth Anand’s Fighter alongside Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. The film is slated to release on the 25th of January. It is the first-ever aerial action film being made in India.
