Filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia, who worked with Amitabh Bachchan on Ek Ajnabee, has recently revealed that the actor struggled with insomnia. While talking about his experience of working with the star, the filmmaker shared that despite of spending long hours on the sets, the megastar never seemed to be tired and was always making plans after work.
During an interview with Friday Talkies, Apoorva recalled an incident when Big B asked him for a tour of Bangkok, to which he had hesitantly informed him about Patpong, a district known for its live shows, warning that his presence might cause chaos.
However, Big B insisted on visited and they eventually went. Apoorva mentioned that they were accompanied by actors Arjun Rampal, Vikram Chatwal, Perizaad Zorabian, and producer Bunty Walia. He also recalled that Bachchan was dressed in a shirt with most of the buttons undone and paired it with a traditional Thai dhoti-like garment.
He recounted that as Big B walked through, they headed into a club called Exotic Pu**y, which is known for its live shows. He added that upon the star’s entry into the club, his presence created a frenzy among the Indians there.
The filmmaker described that Bachchan walked through the area casually, as if he were in Juhu. Post the show, he reportedly reacted with just two words – “Mind Blowing.”
