A large number of celebrities praised the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) mission and expressed enthusiasm prior to Chandrayaan-3’s Moon landing on Wednesday (August 23) evening. Celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Madhavan, and Kareena Kapoor expressed their congratulations on Chandrayaan-3 and called it a remarkable accomplishment.

Big B contributed a few lines to Kaun Banega Crorepati 15 on Chandrayaan-3 and Lander Vikram’s encounter with the “chanda mama”.

Kareena said at a media event, “It’s a great and proud moment for India and all the Indians. You feel that pride in your heart. As Indians, all of us are waiting to watch it. A lot of people are going to be glued to watching it. I will also be doing that with my boys, with bated breath.”

Abhishek Bachchan called it a moment of pride. “I am feeling very proud. It will land on 23rd evening and our chests swells with pride because our space programme has reached the Moon,” Abhishek told the media recently.

Mithun Chakraborty added, “I want to congratulate ISRO for this fantastic achievement. Now onward, nobody can ignore India.” Singer Hariharan told News18, “The whole country is together in this .. we can achieve everything when together.”

India will join the United States, the Soviet Union, and China as the fourth nations to do a soft landing on the Moon if Chandrayaan-3 safely lands on the Moon’s south pole. India would also become the first nation to gently land a spacecraft on the lunar south pole.
