At that time, Zanjeer was scheduled to hit the theatres and Amitabh’s friends placed a bet that if this movie turns out to be a success at the box-office, they all would take a trip to London. The movie, in fact, was a superhit and at this point, Amitabh wanted to take Jaya along with him to London. But as a dramatic turn, her father refused and told him that she can not take a trip with him until she’s married. So, Amitabh decided to get married to Jaya, and London happened to be their honeymoon place.
