Amidst Animal’s success, an old video of Aamir Khan resurfaces, says how non-talented directors depend on “Sex and Violence” to provoke audience

Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal is buzzing all over the place. The movie evokes high emotions among audiences and they are loving it. The film has crossed Rs 350 crore on its third day of release globally and broke several historical records. Amidst Animal’s top-notch success, an old video of Aamir Khan is doing rounds on social media.

A video has been surfacing for quite some time now, which showcases Aamir Khan talking about what non-creative directors depend upon. The clip starts with Aamir saying, “There are few emotions which are very easy to provoke the audience. These emotions are… violence is one of them and sex is another. The actor further added, “Those directors who are not creative, not talented enough in creating a story, showing emotions, depending heavily on sex and violence. They think that by doing this their films will work.”

The Dangal star stated that there will be times that by depending on violence and sex, films works. But it highly affects society and this is something I find wrong.

As the video started garnering user’s attention, many put forward their views. A netizen wrote, “This is true and Animal movie is the one which I cannot show to my small children.” While another stated, “I totally agree, how people are watching this?”

A user wrote, “Totally agree!! Many watch movies and believe in them.. n try to imbibe them… not realizing its pros and cons!! Society has to rely on positive media with better and bigger goals!! Blindly saying this madness is a good act, sheer ignorance of its repercussions…. to its impressionable society members.”

Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Kabir Singh has also been heavily criticized during its release for the misogynistic character. Animal has received high-scale appreciation from fans globally. However, there is a certain population that believes that the representation of Ranbir’s character is inappropriate.

Other than Ranbir, Animal also features Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri in key roles. The film was released on the 1st of December alongside Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur.
