Allu Arjun has thanked a specific Bollywood filmmaker without naming them for averting a box office clash with his film, Pushpa 2: The Rule. While the Tollywood superstar did mention the name of the movie, it seems that he was talking about Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava, which was earlier scheduled to release on December 6, 2024, the same day when Pushpa 2 was released.
Allu Arjun attended a success meet for Pushpa 2 in Hyderabad on Saturday, making his first ever event post his arrest and bail in the Sandhya theatre stampede case, wherein he stated, “When I called up one of the filmmakers from Bollywood, from Hindi cinema, I’m not a fan of that word Bollywood. In Hindi cinema, I called somebody and I said, they were also supposed to come on December 6. They were very accommodative, and they moved from that date. I personally called them and thanked them for moving the date, and they said, ‘We’re all fans of Pushpa’, and if you come, then we will make way for it.” The actor also thanked all the industries of Indian cinema for their support.
He also expressed gratitude towards director Sukumar and fans for the blockbuster success of Pushpa 2, as he described the movie as “not just a film but an emotion.”
Allu Arjun also thanked every department for the success of the movie, including his co-stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil.
