Alia Bhatt wins Filmfare 2023; Thanks husband Ranbir Kapoor and daughter Raha

The Filmfare Award went to Alia Bhatt for her work in Gangubai Kathiawadi. She posted a thank-you message on Instgaram to her director, family, and friends.

Alia Bhatt played a sex worker in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, which also won the top honours of the evening for Best Film and Best Director.

As Alia accepted the honour from Rekha at the glitzy event, she shone in a black mermaid gown. She posted a number of images to her Instagram account for her followers. She was depicted in the first image taking a selfie while holding her Filmfare and wearing no makeup.

Another image shows her giving the event’s director Sanjay Leela Bhansali a hug. She also shared a photo of herself receiving the award from Rekha on stage while bowing adorably in thanks. Alia thanked her followers and her lovely actor-husband Ranbir Kapoor, as well as Raha, her daughter, for their love and support.

She ended by saying, “To my audience, my family, my fans! I appreciate you always pushing me to be better. Always.” She thanked the entire crew, as she believes they are the only reason she could maintain her integrity.

Last but not least, she expressed gratitude to her loving family, which includes her mother, father, and other mother Tanna, as well as her in-laws, who are always there to bless her, speciallyher late father-in-law Rishi Kapoor. She thanked Ranbir for encouraging her by listening to her whine about her day for hours.

Her newborn girl, who hadn’t been in her life before but had become an important part of it, was thanked. Prior to Highway, Alia had already won the Filmfare for Best Actress (Critics) as well as three additional Best Actress prizes for her work in Udta Punjab, Raazi, and Gully Boy.

She will next be featured with Ranveer Singh in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, directed by Karan Johar, which is scheduled to come out on July 28, 2023.
