Alia Bhatt stands out in a year where other stars have produced significant disasters. She is one of the few performers to have given a film of Rs. 130 crores in 2022, Gangubai Kathiawadi. The phenomenal success of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed film established that she is a celebrity who is here to stay. She married actor Ranbir Kapoor a few months later, and it was one of the most publicised events of the year.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Bipasha Basu Singh Grover are two actresses who changed their names after marriage and took their husband’s surnames. In an interview with Mid-Day, Alia Bhatt revealed that she, too, will undergo a name change. According to the newspaper, Alia would be named Bhatt-Kapoor, or Kapoor-Bhatt. Her formal paperwork will be updated to reflect the name change.
‘We are going to have a child now,’ Alia Bhatt was quoted as saying. I don’t want to be the Bhatt while the Kapoors are on the road, you know what I mean? I don’t want to feel excluded.’
Alia Bhatt, on the other hand, made it plain that she will continue to be billed as Alia Bhatt on film. She also said that she does not have the time to update her marital status on her passport. Ranbir, on the other hand, has ‘happy’ changed his passport. While Alia Bhatt has made considerable progress this year, there is certainly more to come. As previously stated, she is pregnant and, according to rumours, will give birth this year. And she and Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in the highly anticipated film Brahmastra next month. It will be released in theatres on September 9th, and according to trade and industry, it is expected to have a massive opening.
