On Friday, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt celebrated reaching 80 million Instagram followers.
Alia took to Instagram to share a new picture on her stories, captioning it “Onlyyy love. #80,” followed by a pink heart emoticon.
Alia is seen in the photo creating a heart with her hands and smiling cutely. She was wearing a brightly coloured top.
Alia has a large fan base among young people. She is also an avid social media user, frequently sharing photos with her admirers and followers, which often go viral on social media. The ‘Raazi’ star has now attained a new milestone.
Alia is the fourth most-followed Indian celebrity on Instagram, trailing only Shraddha Kapoor (83.4 million) and Priyanka Chopra (89.5 million).
Virat Kohli, the most-followed Indian celebrity on Instagram, has 260 million followers.
Meanwhile, Alia is presently filming her next film, ‘Jigra,’ which she is also producing.
‘Jigra,’ directed by Vasan Bala, is planned to hit theatres on September 27, 2024. Vasan Bala has previously directed films such as “Monica O My Darling,” “Peddlers,” and “Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota.”
‘Jigra’ is Alia and Vasan’s debut film collaboration.
Apart from that, Alia will co-star with Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra in Farhan Akhtar’s film ‘Jee Le Zaraa.’
In a recent interview with the US-based website Variety, director Farhan Akhtar revealed that ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ is currently on hold.
“We just have issues with dates, and the actor’s strike that’s happened has put Priyanka’s dates into a huge tizzy with what can happen and what can’t, so I’ve started genuinely believing that that film now has a destiny of its own. It’ll happen when it has to, we’ll see,” Farhan told Variety.
The film promises to be another tale of friendship in the vein of ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’.
