Lauren Ludwig and husband Alexander Ludwig welcomed their first ever child together, a baby girl, four weeks early.
On Tuesday, the 30-year-old Vikings actor and his wife announced the arrival of their daughter on Instagram, adding that she arrived four weeks earlier than expected. In the adorable photo, Lauren, 31, was carrying their infant while Alexander, 32, was encircling.
The post also revealed that the couple’s girl had been given the name Leni. The pair had earlier this year, in February, announced they were expecting. The new parents had written, “Leni James Ludwig decided to come on her own schedule 4 weeks early. Born 4/27/23 at 7:24am”.
Alexander and Lauren had previously announced they were expecting their first child together but the couple had to got through their third miscarriage nine months ago.
The new dad also posted an image of himself holding their sleeping child Leni lay on his chest on his Instagram Story. “Dad mode activated”, he wrote over the picture.
Previously, the pair posted beautiful photos of themselves posing in traditional wedding garb as snow-capped mountains in Utah. They posted the pictures on Instagram to announce that they had eloped after one month of their engagement.
Lauren was dressed in a white, sleeveless gown with a train that cascaded behind her. A white dress shirt, black bow tie, and a black tuxedo completed Alexander’s look.
