Akshay Kumar is currently gearing up for his upcoming film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The film will be released around Eid this year. Other than that, there is yet another thrilling project Akshay will embark on. He has Skyforce film lined up ahead, which has been highly anticipated by the audience.

According to the latest update by IMDb, Akshay Kumar will be playing the role of Air Force Officer in the upcoming film. The movie is based on true events and the shooting for the same has already commenced. Recently, the plot of the movie has been revealed.

As per reports, Skyforce film will showcase an aerial war between India and Pakistan, that happened years ago. While announcing the movie, Akshay Kumar stated that the film will be based on India’s deadliest airstrike. And the report suggests that the movie will showcase India’s strike on Pakistan’s airbase in Sargodha.

Skyforce is set in the backdrop of 1965. It will showcase the events that led to India’s attack on Pakistan’s airbase. Earlier, Pakistan attacked Pathankot, Adampur and Halwara airbase. The payback of this attack was done by the deadliest airstrike on Sargodha. During that time, Sargodha was a secure and strengthened airbase in Asia. However, the Indian Air Force took it upon themselves to carry out this mission and came out victorious.

Akshay Kumar will headline Skyforce and will play the role of the Squadron captain. While Veer Pahariya will essay the role of Ajjamada Boppayya Devayya, who was shot down by enemy missiles during the war. The movie also features Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan in key roles.
