Akshay Kumar tested positive for COVID-19 on 4th April 2021. The actor took to his Twitter handle to inform his fans that he has been tested positive but is in great spirits. Just after a day of being tested positive Akshay was shifted to the Hiranandani Hospital in Mumbai which is run by his brother-in-law’s family. While being away from friends and family Akshay still seems to be in great spirits.
Though, the actor is in quarantine but not on medications. He is being checked for his blood pressure and oxygen levels. Last year, while everyone took a break from work due to the pandemic the actor still chose to work and completed his three films.
A source from Akshay’s production house revealed that even when the actor was on a vacation he always led a healthy life and this quarantine period is his first break in years. Now, the actor seems to be enjoying hospital food and watching cricket.
Akshay’s upcoming movie Sooryavanshi was all set to hit the theaters on 30th April 2021 but now due to the rise in covid cases and the lockdown in Mumbai, Maharashtra the release date of the film has been postponed.
