Akshay Kumar misses his mother as niece Simar Bhatia gears up for Bollywood debut

Akshay Kumar’s niece, Simar Bhatia, is all set to make her Bollywood debut with movie Ikkis. She will be paired opposite Agastya Nanda in the film, directed by Sriram Raghavan. The Sooryavanshi star recently shared a special post for her and expressed his pride. Akshay also wished for his mother to be here to shower praise on the upcoming actress.

He took to his Instagram handle and shared a glimpse of a newspaper that featured his niece Simar’s photo and also talked about her upcoming debut.

The star expressed his happiness in the caption and shared what he experienced when he first saw himself in the newspaper. “I remember the first time I saw my photo on the cover of the newspaper. I thought that’s the ultimate happiness. But today I know the happiness of seeing your child’s photo here beats everything,” wrote Akshay.

The Khiladi actor further shared what his mother would have said to Simar. He wrote, “I wish my mom was here today and she would have said, ‘Simar puttar Tu tah Kamaal hai (You are amazing).’ Bless you, my baby; the sky is yours.”

Speaking about the movie, Ikkis revolves around the life events of second lieutenant Arun Khetrapal, recipient of India’s highest military honor, the Param Vir Chakra. Apart from the star kids, the movie also features Dharmendra, and is produced by Dinesh Vijan under his banner Maddock Films.
