Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon, who previously worked together in Housefull 4, will be soon seen together on screen again in Bachchan Pandey. Directed by Farhad Samji, the film will see the stars reunite for the masala action entertainer. A few months ago, when Akshay Kumar shared his first look from the film, it created a buzz on social media. Now as per a Mumbai Mirror report, the film is set to go on floors in 2021.
In January, Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon will start their new year shooting for Bachchan Pandey in Jaisalmer. Earlier the shooting was set to take place in May 2020 but due to coronavirus pandemic, it was postponed. The shoot schedule will be a 60 days marathon schedule which will lock the majority of the film.
As per the report, Akshay and Kriti will be shooting in real locations and not a set. It was even revealed that the Bachchan Pandey team has already secured all the permissions and have zeroed in on the locations. The team will also have doctors on the set and ensure that the SOPs will be followed.

In the film, Akshay will be playing the role of a gangster and Kriti will be playing the role of a journalist cum director. In March, it was revealed that Bachchan Pandey will be a remake of the South Indian blockbuster film Jigarthanda. The makers were planning this remake since last year when Sajid Nadiadwala bought the rights to the masala film. It was originally planned with a different cast but now they are making few tweaks to the original script.
