Maharashtra is worst hit by the outbreak of Coronavirus, especially Mumbai. Dharavi, Asia’s largest slums have become a hotspot for this lethal virus. It has been recorded that these slums are the house to more than 8Lakh people. Keeping the worst situation in mind, BMC recently built a new hospital in just span of 15days to admit the COVID-19 affected people. Several actors joined hands to aid the COVID-19 suffering people in India.
Bollywood stars including Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Amir Khan and many more donated generously to aid COVID-19 affected people.
Recently, Ajay Devgn too came under the spotlight of donation. The Singham actor donated for oxygen cylinders and ventilators for a new 200-bed hospital in Dharavi. He also provided ration kits to more than 700 families of Dharavi. Moreover, Ajay Devgn has also donated Rs 51 Lakh to support 5 lakh+ cine workers. Thanking him for his big-hearted support, Producer Ashok Pandit, who is the chief advisor to FWICE, lauded the actor for the gesture in a post on Twitter. He posted a tweet, alongside a video where he appealed to others from Bollywood to follow the actor’s footsteps.
