As per the reports, Jaya Bachchan was among the first ones to arrive, offering comfort to Kajol, who had just lost her uncle. Now, Ajay Devgn has also reached Ayan’s residence to offer his condolences. A video of the actor has emerged online visiting the director’s house, day after veteran actor’s funeral.
Another video featured filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker visiting the fellow filmmaker’s house to pay his respect to the deceased.
Ayan’s close friends, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who had been in Alibaug to bring in the birthday of the actress, rushed back to Mumbai to pay their respects. The Wake Up Sid was also pictured shouldering Deb Mukherjee’s bier at the funeral.
Other celebrities, who made it to the funeral included Karan Johar, Kiran Rao, Lalit Pandit, Salim Khan, and Hrithik Roshan.
Earlier, Alia Bhatt was seen arriving at Ayan’s residence for the funeral. She was dressed in white. While Ranbir was not seen visibly with Alia at the venue, Alia’s sister Shaheen Bhatt was with her.
